We would like to extend a special invitation to all of our friends in the Polk City community to come and join us for a special outdoor service and bbq!

We’ll start around 10:30am behind the elementary school and go into the afternoon.

You’re encouraged to bring a side dish to share and whatever lawn games you want to play.

It will be an awesome time to hang out, meet new people and celebrate what God is doing in Polk City.

Join us on August 16th at 8:45pm for an evening of family fun.

We’ll be showing the Pixar & Disney classic “A Bug’s Life” on a giant screen in the Polk City Square.

Admission is free and all are welcome.  We’ll also be serving up free popcorn.

You are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

This Sunday we will be saying good-bye to Pastor Josh, Danielle, and Marie.  There will be a reception for them at the building starting at 5:30pm.

We will be showing our appreciation for the time they’ve served at Lakeside.  Each family is encouraged to bring their favorite appetizer to share as well as a card to put in the card basket.

There will also be a time allowing people to share a personal testimony of how God has used the Daggetts in your life.

Please make it a priority to be an encouragement to Josh & Danielle this evening.

You’re invited to the Subras’ home for a 4th of July celebration! Please come Friday, July 4th at 6:00 p.m. Bring meat to grill, a side dish, lawn chairs, and yard games. Stay as long as you like. We’ll have a bonfire later in the evening.

Come and join us for an exciting week of Vacation Bible School.

Kids will dig into God’s Word to discover what happened to dinosaurs. More important, they will learn how the Bible answers life’s basic questions: Who made the world? Who am I, and why am I here? Where am I going, and how can I be right with God? Does God keep His promises? The answers are all in the Bible!

Exciting Bible lessons, rip-roaring games, lip-smacking-good snacks, eye-popping crafts, fun songs, engaging puppet stories, and comical skits reinforce the DinoDetective lessons from Genesis.

When: July 27-31st from 6-8:30 p.m.
Where: Lakeside on the Square (213 W. Broadway)
Who: Kids 4 yrs.-6th grade

Our 3rd annual Iowa Cubs game is Friday night, June 27th.  The game is at 7:05 with fireworks after the game.  Contact us from the website if you would like to go - there will also be a sign up sheet at church.

Tickets are $6.00 each.  Children 3 and under are free if they sit on the lap of an adult.

June 15th is the last day to sign up.

We will be meeting at the home of Jenny Subra (5505 NW 134^th Ave Polk City) at 7pm for an evening of fellowship and an opportunity to share how God is working in the lives of our ladies.  We will enjoy coffee, iced tea, lemonade and dessert this evening.

Ladies please plan to join us for a “New & Expecting Mother’s Brunch” on Saturday, June 14 at 9:30 am.  It will be a great time of fellowship as we will be encouraging our expecting mothers and mothers with children under the age of 1.  

We will be meeting at the building at 8 am to car pool down to the Farmer’s Market in Des Moines on Saturday, May 31.  If you would like to meet up with the ladies downtown, we will be meeting in front of the Courthouse at 8:30 am.

This interactive study meets 5/11, 5/25, 6/8 and 6/22 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lakeside Building on the Square.
