Feel free to think casual. Wear what you want. We care more about you as a person than the overalls you might be sportin’. You can also bring your triple mint mocha latte with whipped cream in as well. We don’t have any fancy carpet to ruin.

Currently Lakeside Fellowship has one service on Sunday morning and we meet in small groups during the week. We also have an educational hour before our Sunday morning service we ol’ timers call “sunday school.” Sunday school is for all ages - including adults. We are adding new ministries all the time so swing by to find out what’s going on and how you can get plugged in.

Sunday school starts at 9:30 and ends around 10:15 with our morning service following. If Pastor Dave isn’t too long winded we get out around 11:45. Typically we start off with worship through music led by our contemporary band, then have a small break for some announcements and a time to meet those around us.

After the break we have more time for worship through music, reading and other creative avenues. We will then dismiss the younger children (childcare and special services are provided for the kids), and dive right into an applicable message straight from the Word of God that is totally relevant to your life.

You can sample and listen to messages in our message audio section.

whiffleball.jpgOn Wednesdays we have various small groups that meet around the area. It is a great time to meet others, get your questions answered about the Bible and grow in your faith. Every every month all of the small groups get together for a fun time we call “Shake it Up.” We’ve bbq’d, went bowling and even played whiffle ball. You can learn more on our small group page.

Where are you?

We are currently meeting at West Elementary School at 1400 W. Broadway Polk City,IA 50026. Click here for a map and driving directions.
If you need to contact us please:

  • call: 515.371.8578
  • email: info at lakesidefellowship.com
  • telegram
  • send a carrier pigeon
  • attempt a smoke signal

However, we can’t promise that the pigeon will make it, we might not be able to distinguish the smoke signal from the guy burning his leaves down the street and we’re not sure they even send telegrams anymore. So the first two might be your best option.

What’s available for my kids?

ttss.jpgWe want our children to learn about God, that He is fun, creative, and loves them. We understand that much of our children’s value system is determined during their younger years; that’s why we treat them as a ministry group, not a babysitting service. We teach the Bible in a fun and exciting way that encourages our children to live for God. We aim at having a program that makes our children WANT to come to church every week.

We have an exciting Sunday School class for every age group. Each class incorporates games and crafts while teaching your children life lessons from the Bible.

We have a nursery for children 0-2yrs and is in the room just behind the main worship area. If you need any assistance, ask a greeter or anyone else that looks friendly.

Older children 3yrs-1st grade meet in the room behind the nursery after being dismissed from the main service. We play games, make a mess, scream and yell and learn about Jesus and our faith.

What’s available for my teens?

teens.jpgWe have a weekly meeting on Wednesday night where the youth get to do crazy and wacky activities while being challenged to live out their faith and given the encouragement and mentoring to do so. We also have monthly activities that work to fulfill our purpose of spreading the gospel, serving others, and fellowship. Understanding that adolescence for some is the most challenging life phase, we help them apply God’s word to their life. Find out more information about events, see pictures and read the articles on the Thirst Student Ministries page.
